i have been doing quite a lot lately. well, nothing by far from particular comparison. well anyway, the month of may had me filled with a few worthy of appreciation moments. let's just say that for once im less involved from politics of sorts. i remembered someone telling me that there's 24 hours in a day and all you need is just a minute to go for the kill. try not to harp on issues, act on it. you wanna say it, better say it right the first few times.

and as i flew to palembang two weeks ago, i felt something amiss in me amidst all the hectic interactions of information received and overload. its the absence of loved ones on not having the opportunity to share the two polarization of experience with me, that is. but all is well with emotions kept in checked and focus placed on the hot seat.

lastly, as bad as it can be, there's no reason for us to be unhappy and frustrated. these negativities will kill you softly. dont you ever want to feel solace and at ease ? accept challenges positively. its like a conscription exercised by the community where you're handed with the full faith and trust to better the lives of people.

i would like to thank azfar for the wonderful 3 course meal that he prepared for us last night. the lasagne and tiramisu taste great, way better than the pizza hut and NYDC's ones respectively. he introduced his date, sarimah, to us who apparently was his primary schoolmate. as always, the first introduction was rather unnerving for her and for us too but we're working on it. give us time.

i finally played the whole playlist of jiwang2 songs at the void deck with my primary school friends on the eve of chinese new year. and im pretty sure that no one was asleep at my block cause it was pleasantly noisy with the incessant crashing and shuffling of the mahjong tiles and shouts of joy and cheers for the reunion dinner.

on a lighter note, adeel and me decided to go for blackout last night. we were kinda slightly disappointed when we entered the venue because it was not what we expected it to be. we were like alhamdulillah when we bumped into dinie. apparently he was with this weird guy friend. i shall not say more about his friend.

the event started with the MR and Miss NUS pageant session and i must say Miss NUS really looked good. she won a total of three categories and three different sash were on her. i cant stand the way contestant M5 looked, very gay. period.

there's so many lucky draws and as usual, due to bad luck and suayness factor, our tickets were not called. the crowd was rather friendly. i did not feel any hostilities like i do in a club. probably because its a school event and we all know that we're schoolmates.

cut it short, me, dinie and adeel enjoyed dancing at the dancefloor although it took quite a while for dinie and me to warm up. i guess both of us have passed that stage of dancing all night long. its time to pass the buck to younger and more energetic chaps.

a nice guys night out with no intend to know more girls in particular. i enjoyed laughing my ass off watching very weird dance moves and not forgetting their company. our initial disappointment of the event went away as we laughed it off because we really felt like we went to MTV My Super Sweet 16.

when i was younger, i never really cared for issues pertaining to the shrinking world, let alone interpersonal relationships between relatives. my parents and the elders were the ones that governed, though not iron-fisted, my thoughts and actions. in short, they were the sole hegemonic government that i know of.

oh well, i personally love the month of december. you've got christmas and new year's day in december. also, there's numerous sales that set your mouth gaping wide open. anyway, the KGBs and a honourary guest, tasha, came together to celebrate christmas the manhattan's way. seafood platter for two coupled with soup of the day and iced peach tea was totally awesome.

BUT, i had a bad experience with the bill. we paid double the amount and it had to be ME to lose that $100. anyway, its settled now.

after that, we wanted to be a total computer geek by playing left for dead 2 but it was fully booked and we waited like a bunch of idiots at the bus stop. after overcoming the challenge of lifting our arse off the seat, we went to watch sherlock holmes at GV Yishun. azpar lost the bet because he paid $8 to sleep through the movie. not bad eh ? $8 of sleep for 2hrs. that's cheaper than those budget hotel hourly rates.

to celebrate the end of my first reservice cycle, i went on a day out offroading with apjal over at T15. there's two gates and the gate above is the first entrance to the trail. look at how spotlessly clean our bike was before nailing the trail.

and so, we went to gangsa park near chestnut park since apjal wanted to see the location. that was where misfortune striked. i remembered that i jumped and cleared past the gap. unfortunately i landed wrongly and flew like superman. like apjal said, nitro circus stunt gone bad and it looked somehow like the video below.

apjal even managed to snap a picture of me in excrutiating pain. couldnt feel a thing and my left arm felt numb. if you notice, my shoulders popped up. crash and burn.

and so, we walked slowly to the nearest exit near bangkit road. afzal was kind enough to be there to help me push my damn bike and called for ambulance. the paramedic laughed and said we're like McGuyver from the makeshift vine that afzal tied for me. i cant remember what they did to me at nuh. my head was aching badly after discharge and i took a taxi home to crappy naggings that was waiting for me at the doorstep.

bad luck ? i dont think so. i am lucky to get dislocation of the muscle tendons over at my left shoulder. its now time for a speedy recovery and therapy. i will always say my prayers for the best. insyaallah, it would be fine.

my family left me home alone today as they could not wait much longer. there's actually two wedding to attend. umi said that the first was a wedding reception at fort canning rise and another at some kampung melayu at geylang. umi, being a makcik kaypo, text me whether i know someone by the name of nadira in nus. seriously, i have no idea. dont know and dont care also.

anyway, i went for some offroad fun with dominic at T15 just now. it was fucking tiring. the trails were muddy and i think approximately 5kg of goddamn mud was stucked to my bicycle. spent 1hr scrubbing the shit and muck off. to think of it, i can scrub my toilet floor now till spotlessly clean. again, pictures paint a thousand words (cliche duh). umi said that i looked like i've just dipped myself into sambal belacan.

its been awhile since i last met them. badminton showdown tomorrow. gonna smack some smackeroos.

p.s: happy birthday umi. thank you for providing me with almost everything and still sending me to school. you know how much im grateful to have you as my mum.

i passed my ippt this morning, LIKE FINALLY. running with coughs and headaches was terrible and draggy. you dont know how painful that was. well, at least there's many of my ns buddies there taking the test with me. some end up sulking because they had to come back again on another day for a re-test.

anyway, alvin and the chipmunks are back again this christmas after a year of absence. the perfect movie to wrap up the year with smiles and cheers in everyone. tasha just changed her blogskin. very nice. :)

again, i didnt expect to pass but im nonetheless happy and grateful.

friday was awesomely spent by having picnic over at marina barrage with the best schoolmates that i have. you do not know just how much i appreciate these people and they are like a dearly part of me now. both bad and fun times we had will always be remembered.

i am still grateful to HIM for granting me this opportunity to do the stuffs that i love. i couldn't ask for more, really. and there is always a logical reason behind everything and anything.

rainy days will never wash these happy faces away.

on sunday i woke up (by someone's text, again) feeling as though my shoulders gonna collapse. did not go to school to study but instead went flea-ing with tasha banks. lucky never tio poison ah by the clothings there, heng ah. well, went to KOPITIAM (not banquet okay) at TTSH and wanted laksa but dont have liao. so settled for nasi ayam tak penyet.

went to starbucks (again !) to do our revision although we spent most of the time camwhoring, counting tasha's moles on her face and watching plenty of stupid youtube videos. bus-ed back home. i've got this peculiar feeling everytime when i felt that i enjoyed my day. its the smooth vanilla aftertaste when i breathe deeply. it must be those wonderfully flawless endorphins being released. it feels as good as an opiate.

anyway, i would like to say this.

i wish i could just dishwash and blowdry everything away. but that's not the case here, there will always be coffee stains on the mug's internal surface. this is where you have to take the time and effort to scrub it off clean.

and what if that mug is glued from it's broken pieces ? there will always be hairline cracks that leaves more room for coffee stains to take residence.

i dreamt that me and afzal won first prize in the Amazing Race Asia during my short nap just now.

firstly, me and afzal just came back from work and we had KFC, like finally, at Toa Payoh Central. you dont know how many effing pvc pipes, like the ones you see in your bathroom, we've counted just now. however, we were happy to take our awesome pay.
